About Echo Australia
We believe Echo to be a very unique organisation which exists solely for the Benefit of us - the members. It -was conceived in early 2000 and had its First Breakfast meeting in May 2000. Unlike many other "like" organisations, we are a non profit organization focusing entirely on assisting each other in the promotion and advancement of our businesses, and In the mentoring of each other
We have enclosed information which outlines our objectives and the infrastructure of the organization in addition to other matters concerning the clubs operation. Also included is a list of our current members and their businesses and current Echo office holders. The new compendium that you have received also contains business cards for reference and use when making referral/s. To become more familiar with each business, we encourage you to contact each member individually - ideally at their business - so that you can gain first, hand understanding of -what they stand for and how they operate. We believe this is essential (in being able to confidently refer others to a specific business. In addition, members take the opportunity every couple of months to organise a "Cocktail connector" which provides a very informal way to see a business in action and mix socially; with a few ales!
The leadership team is responsible for the conduct of our breakfast meetings and the day to day business of the organisation. This team changes every four months and we encourage everyone to take part at some stage in this team
The current management committee is involved in the general control and management of affairs, property and funds of the association. Appropriate records (including financial) are kept up to date and are available for inspection, on your request.
Echo, as an incorporated association is required to have an annual general meeting every twelve months. A copy of the rules of Echo Australia Incorporated are also available on request. Echo's AGM is held close to December 15 each year, and it is at this AGM that a new committee elected.
The success of Echo can be association be only assured by the enthusiasm and commitment, of its members. This requires ongoing energy and input from everyone in the promotion of each others business and the ongoing recruitment of like minded friends and colleagues into Echo. We are delighted to welcome you to Echo Inc and look forward to a very rewarding association with you in the years to come.
